Sid is our founder who started his Card Collecting in the mid-1940s as a young boy. He could get the cards for 1 penny and get a piece of gum the size of the card. Sid would trade the gum for more cards with his friends. Mickey Mantle became Sid’s favorite player when “The Mick” came to his little Kansas town of Hutchinson with the Joplin Miners.
Josh is the next generation that got his first taste for cards in the early 1980s. My first set was 1984 Topps. At the time Don Mattingly was a local legend who had played for our Minor League team the Nashville Sounds in 1981 and was then a New York Yankee in 1984.
